Tauber Institute Announces 35 Team Projects

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan’s Tauber Institute for Global Operations is pleased to announce 35 team projects sponsored by 26 top global firms for the summer of 2014. Unique or new company sponsors include Emerson, Kostal North America, Mac Arthur Corporation, LLC., Precision Castparts, Corp., and SUNSET Produce.

Each 2 to 3 person project team made up of MBA, MSCM and/or graduate engineering students will officially begin on-site in mid-May and continue for 14 weeks, through mid-August. Along with receiving high-level corporate support from the company, each team will be advised by a College of Engineering and a Stephen M. Ross School of Business faculty member and overseen by a Tauber Institute Co-Director.

Dave Brandon, the Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics at the University of Michigan and former chairman CEO of Domino’s Pizza, Inc., will deliver the keynote address at the Team Project kickoff dinner on March 11.

Upon project completion, all teams return to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to compete in the annual Spotlight! Team Project Showcase Scholarship Competition on Friday, September 12, 2014.

Executive summaries of team projects will be available in September.
