Designing and Simulating In-Plant Logistics for the Factory of Tomorrow

The Tauber team is working with Ford’s Process Innovation team at the new Advanced Manufacturing Center to explore the future of flexing production and parts inside Final Assembly plants.

The project aims to propose innovative processes as well as identify new technologies to help Ford reduce their reliance on supplier sequencing of parts and achieve a higher level of manufacturing flexibility.

The project will include a simulation model of the proposed processes and corresponding analysis to identify how these efforts will help meet Ford’s KPI’s and strategic goals.
