Partnerships with the top corporations in the world, along with strong alumni and industry advisory boards and a world renowned faculty, give Tauber Institute for Global Operations’ students the chance to learn from the best and be exposed to business at its highest levels.
From its inception in 1991, Tauber has offered students first-hand experience and access to executives who give their time and insight to students. It began with a collaboration of 27 industry executives and has evolved to a 30-member Industry Advisory Board aimed at ensuring that Tauber stays at the forefront of multidisciplinary operations and manufacturing education and responds quickly to industry needs. Offering guidance and support consistent with the program's mission and objectives, the IAB actively assists through industry leadership, cooperation, feedback, and acquisition of financial support.
From the well-known 14-week team projects to the many campus visits by high ranking business leaders, Tauber provides opportunities for its students to interact and network with top brass. Companies like Boeing, BorgWarner, Cummins, Amazon, General Motors and many more regularly send their highest level executives – CEO, COO and CFO included – to Tauber events in what is definitely a win-win arrangement. Business leaders are always looking for the next great addition to their team, and Tauber generates many such candidates. This symbiotic relationship is what’s putting Tauber graduates on the “who’s who” list of talented operations leaders to watch.
A scroll through the list of Tauber alumni brings the story full circle -- many of the program’s graduates wind up at the top of their field, influencing business and industry around the world. Their titles also support this fact as CEO, COO, CFO and other impressive monograms fill the list. Luckily for the students of today and tomorrow, Tauber alumni are giving generously of their time and talents, providing current students with ongoing networking opportunities. And the C-level legacy continues.
