Tauber Plans 4th Community Service Day April 17th

This year marks the Tauber Institute's 4th annual COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY, a celebration of our longstanding commitment to organizations in the state of Michigan. On COMMUNITY SERVICE Day, the Tauber Institute encourages its 30+ Industry Advisory Board (IAB) members, alumni, students, faculty and staff to make southeastern Michigan's nonprofits and companies top clients for the day by setting aside their work and contributing their time and talent.

The Tauber Institute will volunteer their consulting services for 4 organizations in southeastern Michigan: Colonial Plastics, Conkerr Cancer, Clean Energy Coalition, and FAR: Conservatory of Therapeutic and Performing Arts. Each project is organized by Tauber students and designed to meet the needs of the nonprofits and companies it supports, and although many of these companies are new to the Tauber Institute, they are an extension of their commitment to solve industry's toughest problems which is the hallmark of the Tauber Institute.

Volunteers will be at the event which will be held from 7:30 am - 4 pm on April 17th to work on operations related challenges.

“We are so thankful to our Industry Advisory Board Members, alumni, students, faculty, and staff at the Tauber Institute for donating their time to these companies,” said Al Woodliff, Industry Co-Director. “It is very important that our students and executive board members come together to work on beneficial projects. Both learn from each other and Tauber is ensuring that the projects demonstrate operational excellence to these organizations.”
