ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan’s Tauber Institute for Global Operations is pleased to announce thirty-five team projects sponsored by top global firms for the summer of 2013. Six unique new company sponsors included 3M, GM Energy, Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, PT Sewu Segar Nusantara, Verizon, and Youth for Understanding. Four companies returning after hiatus are 3M, Dell, Raytheon, and SRG Global.
Each two- to four-person project team is made up of engineering, MBA, and/or MSCM students. Along with receiving high-level corporate support from the company, each team is advised by a College of Engineering and a Michigan Ross faculty member and overseen by a Tauber Institute Co-Director. The projects officially are under way on-site in mid-May and continue for 14 weeks, through mid-August.
Executive summaries of team projects will be available in September.
