Data used to be considered exhaust within enterprises – something to expel and get rid of. We are now seeing data as a “new currency” - companies see the value in using data in better ways. At IBM, data strategy is focused on becoming a cognitive business – infusing cognition throughout all of our business processes.
The keynote will discuss IBM’s view of cognition together with cutting edge examples of cognitive-driven offerings – both, those in market today, and a vision on what’s to come in the future. Cognitive systems are trained to be experts and trained to interact naturally with humans to explain their reasoning, enabling the human to make the final decision. Cognitive processes are expected to dramatically transform Operations within and across enterprises.
Potential applications in Contracting, Supply Chain Management, Sales and Marketing, Risk Management and Consumer Experience will be discussed.
