Ann Arbor, MI - From the boardroom to the classroom: the Tauber Institute's dialogue with industry leaders ensures that the institute stays at the forefront of multidisciplinary operations and responds quickly to industry needs.
The Tauber Institute for Global Operations is pleased to welcome PepsiCo representative Tim Carey to the Tauber Industry Advisory Board. Offering guidance and support consistent with the program's mission and objectives, the 30-member board actively assists the institute in achieving its academic and research goals through industry leadership, cooperation, feedback, and acquisition of financial support.

Tim Carey is the Vice President for Sustainability and Consumer Recycling at PepsiCo. He is responsible for Resource Conservation, Consumer Recycling, and Customer sustainability programs for the North American beverage businesses. For several years, Tauber Institute students have collaborated with PepsiCo through annual Tauber team projects to help PepsiCo reach its sustainability goals.
The Tauber Institute brings together graduate students from the Michigan Ross School of Business and Michigan Engineering to gain operations expertise and leadership skills, and work together at sponsoring companies around the world, tackling diverse operations challenges in industries such as aerospace, energy, internet commerce, automotive manufacturing, tech, and healthcare. During their 14-week Tauber team projects, Tauber Institute students can apply cutting-edge operations theory to real-world problems, saving sponsoring companies millions of dollars through increased efficiency and waste reduction, and often simultaneously improving working conditions and reducing environmental impact.
