Thank you for this wonderful award! It’s an honor to be involved in this program that provides such a transformational learning opportunity for our students.

Ann Arbor, MI - The Tauber Institute for Global Operations presents Michigan Ross Lecturer of Strategy and Entrepreneurship Len Middleton with the Trailblazer Award as part of the SPOTLIGHT! 2022 Team Project Showcase and Scholarship Competition in recognition of his contributions to the strength and depth of the institute's programs.

Len remarked, "The Tauber Institute not only brings together students from the College of Engineering and the Business School to work on these projects, but the faculty from both schools become colleagues. The two colleges are at opposite ends of our campus, and yet, Tauber plays an essential role in bringing everyone together. I’d also like to thank all of the project sponsors, alums who continue to be involved, and the Tauber co-directors! Go Blue!"

Len has worked together with his Michigan Engineering colleagues as a faculty advisor for Tauber team projects for 20 years since 2002, and has advised 19 Tauber Institute teams of business and engineering graduate students. A few of the team project sponsors Len has worked with include Boeing, Dell, and Pfizer.

In addition, Len has been instrumental in helping Tauber leadership and staff to redefine the institute's strategic initiatives. Len also led the Tauber Team Project Deliverables Committee to evaluate and make recommendations to increase the efficacy of student reports and other team project deliverables.
