Community Service Day is a celebration of our longstanding commitment to organizations in the state of Michigan. On Community Service Day, the Tauber Institute encourages its 30+ Industry Advisory Board members, alumni, students, faculty and staff to make southeastern Michigan nonprofits and community-oriented companies top clients for the day by contributing their time and talent to help solve operations challenges.

In 2021 Tauber Institute volunteers made an impact on Community Service Day by donating expert operations advice to the Detroit Food Academy (on Fri 2/12), DAPCEP, and Mend on the Move.

"Arts & Scraps is so thankful to have worked with the University of Michigan Tauber students on their day of volunteering. With little background information prior to arrival, they were able to input data and create visuals that we'll be utilizing in our Impact Report-- and introduced us to a new software that has allowed us to analyze the demand for Arts & Scraps in the Detroit and Metro Detroit area. To Jovana, Yan Lam, Graham, Katie and Damian- we thank you for your professionalism, insight and overall dedication to helping us better serve Detroit and our youth."
