The Tauber Institute is currently at capacity for Fall 2026 and is closed to additional applications.
Students applying for Fall 2027 through the website will be able to submit applications after October 1, 2026.
The application process to Tauber is pretty straightforward.
Apply either on our website or in the Full-Time MBA application. The application requires a resume submission and two short essays.
A member of our team will reach out with application updates. Applicants may progress to a scheduled interview, be waitlisted, or be denied.
Action may be required from applicants such as scheduling your interview, accepting offered spots, completing intake forms, etc… We expect all applicants, and students, to respond to messages clearly, timely, and professionally.
Application determinations will be communicated by email typically within 1-3 weeks after your Tauber interview.

The Tauber Institute’s program has been designed to be completed with the standard timeline of your degreed program. Participation with the institute will not add additional time or expenses to your program.
That said, there is an additional cost of time for all students in the way of evening coursework, team project recruitment steps, and required learning modules.
No. Although many of our students do have undergraduate degrees in engineering, some do not and still excel in our program. We are looking for students who wish to enhance their understanding of technology and operations in anticipation of a leadership role in a corporate enterprise. If accepted into the Tauber Institute, you will gain an understanding of both the business and engineering aspects of technology and operations by way of your core coursework and through engaging electives. Emphasis is placed on the idea that integration of these disciplines is vital to the success of operations in today’s global business environment.
We have anywhere from 90 – 120 students at one time, which comprise two “classes.” About half of the students have completed a team project, while the other half are preparing to complete a team project over the upcoming summer. Within each Tauber class, about half of the students are pursuing an MBA or Master’s of Supply Chain Management (MSCM) degree and the other half a graduate degree in engineering. This balanced proportion is a reflection of our program’s multidisciplinary nature.
The Tauber Institute utilizes scholarships to recruit top individuals into the program. Scholarship offers are formulated during the admissions process based on past academic performance, leadership, and accomplishments. Additional awards may be available in Year 2 – current students may reach out to the Student Administration Team for more information.
No, the Tauber Institute does not offer any teaching or research assistantships. Many engineering and business departments and/or professors do, however, so please check with them.
In short, no. The Tauber Institute is not considered a STEM program at Ross.
However, MBA students may simultaneously complete the STEM-designated “Specialization in Management Science” path at Ross. Many TO classes can be double-counted between the Tauber subplan and the STEM specialization. We recommend reaching out to Ross Academic Advising for additional information.
