Joel D. Tauber received his B.A., M.B.A., and J.D. from the University of Michigan and is a longtime business executive and entrepreneur with experience across manufacturing, plastics, metals, and venture capital investments in the U.S. and Israel.
A strong advocate for interdisciplinary education and operations leadership, Joel endowed the Tauber Institute for Global Operations at the University of Michigan and remains actively involved with the institute, its students, and university leadership initiatives.
In addition to his business leadership, Joel has spent more than six decades involved in philanthropic and community organizations, including leadership roles with the Jewish Federation of Detroit and national Jewish organizations.
Joel has received numerous honors for entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and community leadership, including the National Master Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the University of Michigan Distinguished Alumni Award.
