Kandasamy Subramanian heads Ford’s Global Manufacturing Technology Development and Innovation and is responsible for developing key technology pillar capabilities to bring new technology solutions to manufacturing programs and plants.
In his current role, he oversees the digital creation of global plant assets and uses them to verify product and manufacturing process compatibility, conducting virtual builds for assembly. During virtual builds, he also conducts simulations, including virtual commissioning for throughput and material flow, to achieve the desired jobs per hour, while deploying innovation solutions for plants around the world.
With Ford since 1998, Kandasamy has worked through various functions including Product Development & Manufacturing Engineering and worked in Germany, Brazil, and Shanghai as Ford’s International Service Employee (ISE).
Kandasamy brings more than 35 years of experience in the automotive industry and a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Ford Production System.
Kandasamy holds a degree in computer engineering and a Master of Business Administration (Finance).
