Teams Present to Boeing Leadership

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Keith Porter (MSE-IOE 2014) and Adam Rochford (EGL BSE-IOE/MSE-IOE 2014) presented the results of their team project to W. James (Jim) McNerney, Jr., chairman of the board and chief executive officer of The Boeing Company and a few other executive leaders on November 8, 2013 at the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan. The Boeing company sponsored three team projects for 2013 involving areas of concentration in IT, paint, and supplier operations.

Multidisciplinary Operations
The Tauber Institute for Global Operations is a premier multidisciplinary operations program of the University of Michigan. Team Projects are unlike internships in other programs. Team Projects are specifically designed for Tauber students and target substantive operations issues with business and engineering components.

 
The Boeing Company Sponsors Team Projects
The Boeing Company has sponsored Tauber Institute team projects for 18 years, almost since the inception of the Tauber Institute.

The student teams also presented the results of their team projects at Spotlight! Team Project Showcase Scholarship Competition as part of their requirement for the program on Friday, September 13, 2013. The Boeing Paint team received second place honors at this competition.
