2018 Team Projects

Tauber Institute students worked on-site from May through August on their 2018 team projects, sponsored by 20 global firms.

Tauber student teams work for their sponsors to find solutions for substantive operations challenges. Tauber team projects provide a significant return on a sponsor’s investment – often uncovering millions of dollars of savings – as well as improvements in areas such as energy consumption, waste reduction, throughput time, and supply chain risk.

Each 2 to 3 person team is made up of graduate engineering and graduate business students. In addition to high-level corporate support, each team is advised by a College of Engineering and a Stephen M. Ross School of Business faculty member and overseen by a Tauber Institute Director.  Upon project completion, all teams return to Ann Arbor to compete in the annual Spotlight! Team Project Showcase and Scholarship Competition.

For over 25 years, the Tauber Institute has worked with a diverse array of world class corporations. Below are our 2018 team project sponsors. Click on the sponsor to read a short description of each project.
