Zillow Offers is looking for an Industrial Engineer to improve business and operational processes on strategic parts of the business. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be an authority in the processes and tools that our growing teams use, and will use your expertise to continually identify and implement improvements. When you can’t make the improvements yourself, you will be the voice of our internal users when suggesting product development. You will also analyze data to evaluate performance, find opportunities, and create amazing customer experiences. This position will give you the opportunity to:
Utilize industrial engineering concepts, operations knowledge and business insight to partner with multi-functional teams from operations, software engineering, machine learning, and product management to achieve organizational business goals and objectives
Lead research, design, development, improvement and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of Lean/Six Sigma and other Industrial Engineering concepts
Utilize engineering methods (e.g., mathematical model simulation, statistics) to drive the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the creation and validation of products
Analyze and design the value stream, including capability, capacity , throughput, work flow and logistics
Master/B.S. in Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical education or equivalent field of study preferred
Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience preferably working with physical operations
Experience utilizing lean and six sigma in an operations environment
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing methods and production systems
Possess self-confidence, high motivation and an enthusiastic personality
Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel and SQL.
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Superior organizational and time management skills; Ability to balance priorities and lead multiple projects and tasks
