As Target Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain & Logistics Field Operations, Preston is responsible for store replenishment and direct-to-guest fulfillment network operations. This is inclusive of internal fulfillment centers, third party fulfillment, direct vendor shipping, regional distribution centers, and import warehouse operations, as well as the related support and process improvement teams.
Preston specializes in designing and managing direct-to-guest fulfillment operations, including optimizing operations by using data and automation to move product more efficiently. He spent 10 years in various leadership positions at Amazon building direct-delivery capabilities within a growing, large-scale operation. Most recently prior Target, he spent four years with Liquidity Services as vice president of operations leading efforts to improve profitability and capacity within supply chain networks for some of the world’s largest technology and retail companies.
Preston is originally from Ohio, earned his BSMSE in Engineering from Kettering University, and his MBA from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business as a fellow of the Tauber Institute for Global Operations.
