The Tauber Institute hosts events for students, alumni, the University of Michigan community, and the general public. Tauber Institute faculty and staff also present at industry conventions and academic symposiums throughout the year.
Project Management Certification 2021 ONLINE
Once again, the Tauber Institute, in conjunction with the International Project Management Association (IPMA), is sponsoring a Project Management certification class and exam.
In order to participate, you will need to reflect upon a project management experience (e.g., Tauber team project, etc.).The sessions will be recorded. Homework (mastery verification) will be required after each session.
The cost to an individual to take the exam is normally $595, however, Tauber is offering the exam at a discounted price:
- $500 U-M alumni, the general public
- $400 U-M students, U-M employees*, or Tauber alumni
- *$300 Ross School or College of Engineering employees
- $200 for Tauber Institute students
Certification is valid for 5 years. Three certification classes will be taught by Professor Eric Svaan.

The certification exam is administered by IPMA-USA (check dates by program flier). Successfully passing the exam will yield IPMA's Level D certification (Certified Project Management Associate). Since 2016, ALL who have taken the Level D exam have successfully passed!
