Amy McLaughlin, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Customer Operations

Amy joined 3M in 1997 as an Optimized Operations Engineer focusing on manufacturing processes and quality improvement. She has continued to lead in this area, working as a Six Sigma Black Belt in the Film Division and later in her career as a Master Black Belt in the Automotive and Automotive Aftermarket Divisions. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master in Business degree from the University of Minnesota. Amy is on the industry advisory board of the University of Michigan’s Tauber Institute for Global Operations.

Amy's strong leadership and collaborative nature have led to enhanced roles as a Business Leader, Strategic Planner, Organizational Change and Deployment Manager in Panama Pacifico and Latin America Business Services Leader. In 2017, she took responsibility for the Industrial Mineral Products Division. In November 2021, she became Senior Vice President for Enterprise Customer Operations.

Amy is involved in 3M’s Women's Leadership Forum as an executive leader in their Lean-In Circle Program, facilitating monthly meetings for women to discuss best practices for advancing in their careers. She is originally from Michigan and lives in the Twin Cities with her husband, Chris.
