In a series of planned visits across the U.S., Asli is traveling to New York and the Bay area to meet with alumni and team project sponsors and would like to discuss your needs for a team project. 

Asli's favorite part of her job is making connections with industry and finding solutions for their challenges. "I'm excited to meet with industry leaders and share with them the results of our team projects and the impact our students are making to the field of operaitons," Aka said. A 2005 Tauber alumna, Asli Aka returned to the Tauber Institute as Associate Director, Industry Relations. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Asli worked in the private sector in strategic consulting, banking, and private equity, specializing in renewable energy, automotive and electronics projects, as well as international business, technology roadmapping, procurement and supply chain optimization. Asli earned multiple degrees from the University of Michigan: B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering, B.A. in German, and M.S. in Manufacturing.

The 2018 Tauber Team Projects resulted in $564.4 million in savings according to sponsoring company calculations, an average of $28 million per project over three years.
