In 2017, the Tauber Institute's student teams worked on 32 projects at 21 top global firms, averaging $18.5 million/per project savings over 3 years per company calculations. The total savings projected was $575 million.
Each 2 to 3 person team was made up of graduate Engineering, MBA, and/or MSCM students. In addition to high-level corporate support, each team was advised by a College of Engineering and a Stephen M. Ross School of Business faculty member and overseen by a Tauber Institute Director. The projects officially began on-site in early May and continued for 14 weeks, through mid-August. Upon project completion, all teams returned to Ann Arbor to compete in the annual Spotlight! Team Project Showcase Scholarship Competition.
For over 20 years the Tauber Institute has worked with a diverse array of world class corporations. Below are our 2017 team project sponsors. Click on the sponsor to read a short description of each project.
