Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Direct and execute the strategic plans internally and externally with Division's
leaders, employees, and suppliers as it relates to logistics and transportation strategies. Provide
experienced skilled leadership to support operational efficiencies and overall profitability to
achieve high levels of associate engagement and planning. Establish credibility as an effective
leader in developing solutions to business challenges. Works closely in collaboration with Division
President.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Directs long range planning and development of programs to ensure best use of organizational
resources, including operational and logistics strategic planning, development of a contemporary
framework and process, and build empowering teams
- Invigorate growth and drive operational direction and supporting logistics
- Evangelize strategic plans: passionately communicating and driving implementation, create KPI's
and other relevant metrics assessing overall success
- Support Division expansion: through M&A activities, strategic partnership development, and
remote execution of alignment with the Division's direction
- Analyze growth and profitability of operations against facility size to maintain proper
inventory, receiving, and distribution capabilities for present and future business
- Integrate the Division's separate activities of distribution, receiving finance, purchasing,
marketing, and sales by collaborating with each function on accountabilities and interdependence in
achieving Division goals
- Responsibility for P&L including: budgeting, controlling costs, planning, and scheduling around
concerns
- Support transformation and utilization of Division's ERP system (Helix), ensuring optimal
efficiencies across the organization
- Seek out and respond to RFPs and RFQs
- Delegate responsibility to managers and employees to accomplish productivity goals
- Maintain a current knowledge level of new concepts, techniques, and technologies related to our
processes, products, and services to support continuous improvement efforts encompassing identified
best practices
- Motivate and lead a high performing team; attract, recruit and retain key talent; provide
mentoring and succession planning as a cornerstone to career development
- Create a climate of respect, openness, trust, and empowerment among associate, supplier, and
customer base
- Provide a safe, organized and healthy work environments for all personnel

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Desired minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, transportation and logistics, finance, or related
field and/or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years in executive level leadership
- 10+ years of management experience including a proven industry track record in leading
distribution solutions in a high growth entrepreneurial environment
- Innate curiosity about business and habit of acting on it by providing progressive solutions
- Decisive and confident leadership with ability to analyze complex situations and address with an
instinct to determine urgent vs. important
- Energetic, forward-thinking and creative; high ethical standards; appropriate professional image
- Demonstrated business planning, financial analysis, negotiation, and customer satisfaction skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective organization and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, receptive communication, change management, and influencing presentation
skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%
