Job Description

Sharp Labs is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the platform team. You will be closely working with other development teams, our planning team, and Sharp subsidiaries in US, EU and Sharp Japan. We are looking for an ideal and curious person to tell interesting stories about our data to make intelligent decisions.

You will:

Train, implement and evaluate machine learning models
Search for data from the Sharp owned devices installed across the globe to explore.
Use your mathematical, statistical and programmatic knowledge to search, analyze, and model to forecast the sales of our products.
Leverage your experience to build data-driven products.
Provide technical leadership to team members.

​​Must – Skills / Knowledge:

Master's degree in CS, Statistics, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Data Mining or a related field
3+ years of industry experience
3+ years of experience in data extraction, data-driven statistical modeling, analysis and supervised learning.
3+ years of experience in programming languages Python, Java, C++, etc.
3+ years of experience in modeling languages such as R, Stata, MATLAB, etc.
Experience in deep learning frameworks such as Caffe, Tensorflow, and Theano
Experience in Machine Learning APIs, frameworks, and AI tools.
Experience in using Cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, IBM and Google Cloud.
Experience in using Big Data, business intelligence tools such as Tableau, data lakes, Hadoop, and Spark

Desired – Skills / Knowledge:

Experience with large data sets.
Knowledge of No-SQL such as MongoDB, relational databases, unstructured data.
Experience in distributed streaming platform such as Kafka, distributed programming is highly recommended
Ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non-experts and business
Ability to build and evaluate predictive models.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A natural curiosity and desire to learn.
