Bob Culver retired from Ford Motor Company in 2003 after more than 35 years in various positions from manufacturing to research. In 1986, he was appointed as the College Relations contact for the University of Michigan, a position he held until his retirement. In that function, he helped focus and streamline Ford’s relationship with the University. He also helped secure funding support for many University initiatives including start-up funds for the Michigan Joint Manufacturing Institute, later to become the Tauber Institute for Global Operations.

In 2004, Bob joined Tauber as its fourth Industry Co- Director which he held through mid 2008.  At the Institute, Bob fostered the LeadershipAdvantage program and was instrumental in developing relationships with a broad array of industries and companies. Bob earned a BSE ChE and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Bob and his wife Cathy live in Pinckney, Michigan and winter in Florida. He enjoys golf, nature photography, collecting antiques, and spoiling his two granddaughters.
